Delta Alpha Psi will lead a workshop on Authentic Leadership for BWAM members. Attendees will gain practical skills to develop an authentic leader identity and explore how black women can harness power and control over personal identity in order to become more authentic at work.

Facilitators:
Dr. Manjari Prashar is an executive coach and Senior Managing Consultant in inclusion and diversity. Manjari delivers coaching, consulting and training throughout Europe, North America and India and has worked with organisations from the Middle East and the Far East. Manjari believes that the development of intercultural competencies and inclusive leadership styles are absolute necessities for all executives in the global context of organisations. Manjari has worked as a coach on the award-winning Linklaters Women’s Leadership Programme and with HSBC as part of Cranfield’s Customised Executive Development group. Manjari’s clients include leaders in global organisations such as Capgemini, Orange Business Services and Sogeti. In her PhD (Cranfield School of Management), Manjari focused on developing a culturally inclusive approach to women’s career advancement and before this, she acquired diverse experience as a commercial account manager at Scotia bank and as a communications consultant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Manjari has lived and worked in India, Canada, the United States and France. She speaks English, French and Hindi. Manjari is also a Visiting Fellow at Cranfield School of Management’s Centre for Gender, Leadership & Inclusion.
Dr. Fatima Tresh is an evidence-based practitioner working with national and multinational firms to improve diversity in talent pipelines and leadership teams and facilitate inclusive culture change. Fatima completed her PhD in Psychology at the Centre for the Study of Group Processes, University of Kent. In her PhD, she examined how group dynamics influence the recognition of professionals’ leadership potential and the implications of this for high-potential minority individuals. She is a Visiting Fellow of Cranfield School of Management. Co-author of a review of the effectiveness of unconscious bias training for the Equality and Human Rights Commission, and a review of reporting on ethnic diversity at board level in the FTSE 350 for the Financial Reporting Council and Parker Review, Fatima contributes to debate and discussion of issues surrounding equality, diversity and inclusion at the national level. Fatima is a talent, performance and inclusion expert and adviser to the Black British Business Awards, overseeing the project management of their annual cross-company Talent Accelerator programme for high-potential Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) emerging business leaders from across the financial and professional services, media, technology, and legal sectors.
