Where necessary we may collect and process data about you which is either collected directly from you when you engage with our services and/or platforms, or indirectly where collected from third party partners or public sources to the extent permitted by law. In certain cases, the information collected from third parties has been provided in a pseudonymous form and is only connected to you once you enter your email address on one of our sites.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted via Stripe. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

  • To provide you with services and/or benefits which you have requested and/or to fulfil our contractual obligations to you;

We are committed to respecting the confidentiality of the personal information that you share with us, and as such we shall not disclose your personal information to third parties, except as detailed in this policy.

1.       We may share your personal information with trusted partner organisations for their marketing purposes, in accordance with local data protection laws and where required, with your permissions.

 2.       Where you engage with us virtually, for example at a virtual exhibition, directory site, or webinar, or where you choose to allow your badge to be scanned at an event, we may pass the information you provide to third parties. This process will generally require you, as the user, to visit or interact with a third party, which may include visiting a stand at an online exhibition, having your badge scanned or clicking on a branded asset provided by a third party. In some instances, you may choose to contact a supplier or exhibitor directly, in which case they may contact you directly in turn. There may be cases where our virtual services are sponsored, whereby the data provided will be shared with the sponsor. Generally, you will be informed at the time of collection if a product is sponsored.

 3.       Where the third party is a member of our group (which means any subsidiaries or ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006).

 4.       In the event that we sell or buy our business or assets, we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.

5.       If our or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data will be one of the transferred assets and the purchaser will be permitted to use the data for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

Data Security

We take online security extremely seriously and have taken rigorous precautions to ensure that your information is processed with confidentiality and accurately.

We are compliant with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Version 2.0.

We will never email you to ask you to disclose or verify your account password, credit card or bank account number. If you are contacted or receive an unsolicited email which asks you for any of this information, disregard the request and report the incident to our team at info@bwam.network.

When you input your card details to purchase our services, our card processor, Stripe retains all the information about your card, however we will be able to see certain personal data, such as the card used, billing address and last four numbers of the card.  

You acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

You are responsible for keeping the password you use for accessing our website confidential; we will not ask you for your password (except when using it to log in to our website).

Data Retention

We only keep your personal data for as long as it’s necessary for the original legitimate purpose for which collecting the information, or for as long as we have your permission to keep it.

If you have made a purchase from us, we store your personal information for a minimum of 7 years as HMRC and other government bodies require us to keep transactional and invoicing records for this length of time.

If you have requested information from us via our website or via phone we will store your personal data on file for a minimum of 1 year, but we will not send marketing information to you unless you have given us permission to do so.
