Michelle Morris is a Managing Director and Head of Emerging & Diverse Asset Managers Business Development for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management – Field and Client Business Development. Michelle is responsible for originating and supporting emerging and diverse asset managers on the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management platform across Asset and Private Manager providers in addition to Alternative Investments and Traditional Investment Products.
Previously, Michelle led the Alternative Investments Education initiative, where she provided portfolio construction guidance regarding Alternative Investments to Financial Advisors and their clients and facilitated business development across private markets investment strategies. Michelle also was a senior investment due diligence analyst in the Wealth Management Global Investment Office. She also has extensive business development experience in the asset management industry, with a focus on public and corporate pension plans, endowments and foundations.
Michelle was named as a Morgan Stanley MAKER in 2022. As a recognized thought leader in the financial services industry, Michelle has been a panelist for forums sponsored by the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives and the Money Management Institute.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Michelle held various positions at a large financial services firm in corporate M&A, private equity fundraising, institutional investment management sales and municipal finance banking. Michelle received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Michelle is a board member of 100 Women in Finance.
