Head of Diverse Wealth Strategies & Diverse Advisor Experience, JP Morgan

Sandy Choute is the Head of Diverse Advisor Experience & Wealth Initiatives at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Sandy’s role is centered on creating equitable outcomes for the Bankers of the firm and for clients in diverse wealth verticals. Her vision is to providestrategic oversight for growing and scaling the business in a way that serves these internal and external constituents.

In her nationwide role, Sandy is intentional in understanding the nuanced needs of our multicultural client segments—Black, Hispanic, Asian, Women and LGBT+ wealth creators. She engages them in a thoughtful manner to deliver a culturally relevant experience that helps position J.P. Morgan as their bank of choice. Sandy supports the commercial success of diverse Advisors, providing direct access to the tools and resources they need to remain at the forefront of innovation and to excel as Bankers. She is committed to playing an influential part in advancing equity and raising the standard in the financial services industry.

Sandy’s passion for advocacy is drawn from lessons in diversity at an early age when her family moved to the United States from Ghana. Her background as an immigrant, advisor and woman in a predominantly male-dominated industry drives her leadership in forging an inclusive environment that affirms clients and colleagues alike.

Prior to taking on this role, Sandy led Diversity Equity and Inclusion for the Global Private Bank at J.P. Morgan, where she was responsible for partnering with senior leaders to drive accountability and engagement around attracting, retaining and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce. 

Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2020, Sandy worked at Merrill for 11 years leading the DE&I efforts for Consumer, Small Business and Wealth Management Operations. Earlier in her career, she was a Financial Advisor managing client relationships and providing comprehensive wealth management strategies for high-net-worth clients. She holds a B.A. from William Paterson University. 

Sandy is an active member of the Asset & Wealth Management Black Leadership Forum, the Asian Leadership Forum and the Hispanic Leadership Forum. She is a previous board member of Rutgers University and the Trenton Children’s Chorus. 

In her spare time, Sandy is involved in her church community, loves to travel, get together with family and friends, and is passionate about personal development. She currently resides in Chandler, Arizona, with her husband, Fabrice.
