Sydney Thomas is the Founder and General Partner of Symphonic Capital, a venture capital firm investing in companies that improve life for the 99%. Since graduating from Duke University with a major in Public Policy and UC Berkeley Haas with her MBA, Sydney has been operating at the forefront of early-stage venture capital, fusing deep public policy experience with the discipline of institutional fund building. Her distinctive perspective, honed across sectors, has shaped a bold thesis focused on Health, Wealth, and now Climate
Resiliency.


Symphonic Capital launched in 2023 and raised $13.5M for Fund I, a historic first close that reflects the deep trust placed in Sydney’s expertise.
Sydney has championed her thesis for the past decade, crafting not just a strategy but a thriving ecosystem
around it. She has:
