UBS’s Asset Management division needs to source highly specialised talent in a competitive market. The team aims to hire the best people for the right roles with meritocracy at the forefront of any decision that is made.

The Solution:

UBS attended BWAM’s inaugural conference in 2022 – an investment event designed to connect experienced professionals across asset management.

I’ve never been to a conference where people were so open to chat,” recalls a UBS attendee, “the atmosphere encouraged candid conversations and sparked new connections.”

The Outcome:

During the networking lunch, the UBS team met an Infrastructure Investment Specialist who was based in Sweden and hadn’t been on their radar previously. The individual had an impressive background in a very niche area. Introductions were made to relevant stakeholders at UBS and an offer was made within a couple of months of the initial meeting.
